Before you call
- Have your farm records handy: last year’s tax return, acres or head counts, and any program or policy numbers.
- Many programs have a yearly enrolment or claim deadline. Note it in your calendar as soon as you find it.
- Ask for service in English or French: federal programs are offered in both official languages.
- Write down who you spoke to and when. It saves time if you need to call back.
