Marketplace Terms

Draft for review. This wording comes from the current REALM draft and still needs a lawyer’s review before launch.
For Canadian visitors. This is the REALM Group Global (Australian) policy. A Canadian version that covers Canadian privacy and anti-spam law (PIPEDA, CASL and provincial laws such as Quebec’s Law 25), in English and French, is [placeholder: waiting on legal review].

These terms apply to everyone who lists, browses or buys through the REALM Marketplace, alongside our Terms of Use.
1. What REALM does
REALM provides a place to advertise agricultural items and services. We are not the seller, buyer, agent or auctioneer, we don't hold payment for items, and we don't guarantee any item, listing or member. Buyers and sellers deal directly with each other.
2. Listing fee (sellers)
Each listing costs a one-time fee of A$10, paid before the listing is submitted. There is no subscription. Every listing receives a Listing ID (for example RLM-AU-000123). The fee is non-refundable once a listing is live. If we reject a listing during review, we refund the fee.
3. Licences and permits
Categories that require a licence or registration (currently Land & Real Estate, Livestock, and Broker & Agent Services) can't be submitted without the seller's licence type, number, issuing authority and a photo of the licence. These listings are reviewed by REALM before going live. Sellers are responsible for complying with all laws in their country and state. REALM may ask for more proof, refuse or remove any listing.
4. Seller responsibilities
Listings must be accurate and honest, with real photos of the actual item, a genuine price, and the correct country and location. You must own the item or be authorised to sell it. Mark the item as sold promptly.
5. Contact unlock fee (buyers)
A buyer can pay a one-time A$5 fee to see a seller's phone number and email for one listing, or request the seller's details free through REALM support. The fee is for access to contact details only; it is not a deposit or part payment, and it's non-refundable once details are shown. By listing, sellers agree their phone number and email may be shared with buyers in these ways.
6. Public comments
Listing comments are public. Anyone logged in can ask questions and make offers. An offer in the comments isn't a binding contract until the buyer and seller agree directly.
7. Prohibited listings
Stolen goods; animals without required identification or health documentation; restricted chemicals, pesticides or vet medicines sold without the required licence; firearms and weapons; recalled or unsafe machinery; land or property the seller isn't authorised to sell; anything illegal in the seller's or buyer's country; misleading, duplicate or spam listings.
8. Buying safely
Inspect items and livestock before paying, check documentation, and never send money to someone you haven't verified. REALM will never ask you to pay for an item through us. Report suspicious listings to [email protected] with the Listing ID.
9. Disputes
Disputes about items, payment or delivery are between the buyer and seller. REALM may help by sharing information, removing listings or suspending accounts, but isn't responsible for the outcome.
10. Removal and changes
We may edit, pause or remove any listing or account that breaks these terms, and we may update these terms and fees with notice on this page.
